The Big Dirty Presents: The Wax Poetry Revue Burlesque and Variety - A Cure For Pain - Fundraiser For HIV Alliance

The Wax Poetry Revue Burlesque and Variety show is BACK at The Big Dirty in the heart of Downtown Eugene.

All music selections for the show will be in tribute to the music of alternative rock band, Morphine.

The Wax Poetry Revue is a collective of visual and conceptual performance artists dedicated to thought-provoking and avant-garde burlesque, circus, and immersive performance art features. Our goal this year is to diversify our show by collaborating with local visual artists, venues, and charitable causes to offer enveloping and memorable event experiences.

Our fundraiser supporting HIV Alliance aims to raise awareness of opioid and Fentanyl related harm, a growing epidemic within our national and local communities. Our goal is to provide a thoughtful and entertaining show, and open the stage to HIV Alliance advocates to table, offer free on-site HIV testing, and do a featured demonstration on how to properly administer life saving opioid overdose reversal drug, Naloxone, as well as give an overview of the services their incredibly important organization provides.

The Wax Poetry Revue will in turn donate all our presale and day of show proceeds to the organization.
